Control Panel Assembler

ROSS Systems & Controls, located in Savannah, GA, specializes in the turnkey supply of industrial electrical control panels, including engineering, manufacturing, and support. We are seeking an experienced Control Panel Assembler to join our growing team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Pull and organize materials required for control panel assembly.
• Mechanically lay out and install electrical components in cabinets and on back panels according to engineered drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Assemble and wire industrial electrical control panels in accordance with project-specific electrical schematics.
• Use hand and power tools, including drills, band saws, jigsaws, grinders, and hole punches.
• Operate shop equipment, including overhead cranes, wire label machines, and ID badge engraving equipment.
• Complete assigned projects accurately and efficiently from start to finish.
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
• Follow established quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow electrical wiring schematics, engineered drawings, and Bills of Materials.
• Ability to identify and properly install electrical components and devices.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, including voltage and single- and three-phase systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with shop personnel.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in mechanical assembly and electrical wiring of industrial electrical control panels preferred.
• Experience completing control panel projects from start to finish preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform repetitive and intricate wiring and assembly tasks using hands and arms.
• Ability to work above and below shoulder height for extended periods.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment with exposure to noise, metal chips, cutting, and grinding.

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a DOT drug screen.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.

Work Environment

ROSS Systems & Controls operates in a 6,000-square-foot, climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
